HELP - Renault Clio Idle problem.
Hi,
Sons first car - '93 Clio 1400 RN. Picked it up with a few 'minor' niggles, one of which was a high idle. Have changed the idle control motor / valve with a new one to no avail - have set the 5mm gap correctly. Has anyone come across this before, cos the Renault Forum is rubbish - I bet one of you guys will help (fingers crossed). Son would have had a scooby, but Insurance was a bit high !!!
Owning a scoob has certanly spoilt me over the last 6 years - I'd forgotten how much fun fixing an old car was in the cold and dark. Other things to try are adding injector cleaner, checking earth strap, and then maybe taking apart throttle body.
Suggestions please.
