Default Replacement rear screen demister

Does anyone know where you can get one from? It looks like they only come already on the glass. But I want to fit one to a screen that won't have it already fitted. I can only find one kit (for an old triumph) by searching the net.
Anyone know of anywhere that sells them? (short of trying to speak to the people who actually make the screens)

This is probably a very stupid suggestion - but...... I know you can get repair kits (from Halfords etc) where you can repaint the metal lines which form the de-mister "grid".... you could mask out the lines with masking tape so they are as uniform as possible and get the electrical connectors from a breakers yard. It's so crazy it might just work (it more than likely wont - but if it was me and I was bored, I'd probably have a go....!)

TBH any kit to put a demister element on the window will be pretty awful......

Why not enquire about a replacement glass with element already bonded - you may be surprised how cheap they are and it would be a much better job of course.

What car is it for ?
