Jaguar XJ6 / XJ8
Hi Guys,
Anyone know what to look out for in particular on the xj6 / xj8 3.2 sport? Other than the normal things you'd check over on a second hard car that is? Any specific areas to watch out for?
Also, anyone know the performance and economy figures or a good site that lists all makes and models?
Cheers,
Matt.

Hi Matt,
I was looking at one recently, and my uncle has had Jaguars for years, depending on what year it is, Jaguar did a major recall on a batch 3.2. V8's because of a major engine problem, If you buy one that has not been rectified you could be looking at a new engine, I will speak to my uncle today and try and find what batch numbers they were, the one I was looking at my uncle came with me and asked the dealer(Not Jaguar) all sorts of questions which he could not answer and I was advised not to buy the car, I beleive if the engine has been changed Jaguar stamp the service book when it was done.
Cheers
Colin

I have been lucky enough to drive one or two older models (e type (v12 model ), mk2 3.8 mod etc) and they still felt great, even at the age they are now.
