What with something like the next 12months UK allocations sold out already? I think prices will hold up extremely well (at least for a few years)

Regular new shape RR's hold value well.

hot htaches are quicker. do you know your power to weight ratio and then add in air resistance, plus getting that thing rolling

but its not bought to be fast? well ok it is, but not as fast as a hot hatch, its refined, classy, quick, can go off road etc... all in all tho not my cuppa tea, my boss at work has a v8 supercharged one ( i think it is) and its a very nice motor.... dont knock ot just because its an 'off roader' AL ? Plus they do hold their value well, and not everyone buys a car for the same purpose.. this one will suit someones purpose very well indeed, and look damn good while doing it!

Not all of us buy 4x4's for speed. I waft along in the X5 looking down on all the Volvo drivers wishing they could afford an old Audi let alone the German King of the road

Listen chaps
We all buy cars for different reasons yeah.
I have had some really nice performance cars and to be honest I need a practical car that doesnt bore me and I think this is it.
This handles like no other 4wd I`ve driven and the engine, even though I have only been in a 4.4 petrol, is supposed to be fantastic.
The figures dont lie. Most sporty looking 4wd for sure.
X5 looks old now and not as stylish in my opinion.
I think many of you would be surprised by the handling kit that mine will have on no roll ........very strange.
I need somewhere to put me woofer and I also partake in a spot of weekend pikeying so need a bus to tow with.
Currently driving this so its a nice change.

Gonna miss the practicallity of the pick up too as I like to go fishing and its nice to chuck all the smelly **** in the back and not smell it inside!!
Still you cant have everything I suppose.
This will do nicely and will hold its value for at least 2 Years I reckon.

Will kill the petrol sales stone dead though I`m afraid.

Will agree on the looks Aaron. Would have got one instead of the X5 but the awful engine was a real turn off. May chop next year for one now the V8D is out.

Have fun and let us know what its like.

Looks like a crass, tastless, footballers wives, tarts handbag of a car. Clearly for the 'cheshire set' of aspirational social climbers who haven't got it quite right.
A proper RangeRover or a Disco sends out a totally different and far better message about the tastes and social status of it's owner.

Yeah right
Whatever.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
Me I dont want to drive a tank that doesnt go round bends or a 7 seater wannabe Range Rover really.
I`m **** at football dont live in Cheshire but my Wife does have big **** if that helps and a Louis Vuiton handbag and purse....does that count???
Nah she drives a Skoda Fabia VRS not very footballers wives that is it??
As for social climbers I`m peakin at my social climax
Got 2 shotguns does that help ???

You'd rather drive a SUV that offer less utility and can't go off road?

Kind of reminds me of these jerks who buy expensive divers/work watches and then proceed to only wear them when 'dressed up'.

Quite honestly the image of the Sport is **** poor new money cheshire.

Seems to hold its money a little better than the other two too
I do have an expensive watch but wear it every day do I still qualify???
I dont mind the occasional jerk off either If I`m being honest with myself.
Guess other than the Cheshire bit I fit your criteria.
A wise car choice for me then.

Some of you [naming no names] turn into green eyed monsters when it comes to threads like this one. Don't let a guy you don't know, buying a car you don't like upset you?

That's exactly why I don't tell people about my Zonda F and Lambo LM004/7000. Damn.........

Good on ya Birdy. Look forward to seeing the beastie next year. Will make a change from the crap U.K Sti's and WR1's you've been used to!

Why would I be jealous? If I was spending that type of money on an SUV I'd exercise a modicum of taste and buy a proper Range Rover. Or if I wanted something that handled I'd be looking at something completely different.

Agreed though that it's probably better than a WR1, in terms of image at least.
