Anyone no anything about these ?? My dad is lookin at getting the 2.0 TD spec seems good and its VW running gear ( i think ).
Just wondered if anyone had any experiences with them in the real world, on the test drive it seemed to pull OK and the build quality was OK, I know the styling is a bit different but my dad kinda likes it and anythin is better that his TT LOL....

The Chrysler Group is letting out some more details about the 2007 Dodge Caliber its plans to have ready for showrooms by the middle of 2006 - and on the Detroit show floor in January.
Eric Ridenour, the Chrysler Group's executive vice president of product development and chief operating officer-designate, said the new Caliber will feature a continuously-variable transmission and all-wheel drive, as well as the new four-cylinder global engine that was designed jointly by Chrysler, Mitsubishi, and Hyundai. Tests aren't anywhere near complete yet, but the combination of the CVT and new engine should raise fuel economy by 8-10 percent over the fuel economy of the Neon, the Chrysler group's current offering in the small-car segment.

My Dad has a PT Cruiser and despite it being American and ugly as sin it is actually a decent car. The build of the Chrysler stuff seems to be very good. The Cruiser uses a Merc TD unit and drives rather well.....just make sure he doesn't find out I said that...It really is very ugly
