They are expensive to run, mpg is poor (mine was about 16mpg) and as they are getting on a bit things do go wrong even if it is just things like perished pipes etc.

If your mechanically minded and have a stash of cash for problems go for it if you can find a good one although you may have to look hard.

B9GLY - you live in about the best place, one of the best known Pulsar tuners is Hiteq based in Wigan...http://www.hiteq.co.uk/

Like an old scoob/jdm wrx or Evo of the same age, they are not cheap to run (but cheaper than something like my bro's modified Evo5) and they are certainly different.

Depends hows its been looked after/used, the individual mods on it (like cossie's it will probably been modified) and most improtantly the mileage your going to be doing. There are a lot of poor examples around becuase they are getting on a bit, and some think they can be run on a shoe string, so you need to know what your looking for.

But best to speak to us at the Jap show Santapod 8th October, we'll have over 60+ Gti-R's and their owners on our stand (not bad for an old rare car!)and they'll be a lot of people who can give sound advice.

Check the forums here, there's also a buying guide..http://www.nissangtir.co.uk/forum/default.asp
