New Mustang GT
We,
popped into the local Ford dealership to have a look at one. They have several including a drop top.
salesman intorduced himself and it turns out he has started a club in the UAE for Mustangs (and their owners) and he is, needless to say an enthusiast.
Had a look around them and got a test drive next week, should have the car for the day!
Now the price, the GT is 19,000 UKP.

You might think so for the base model, this had full leather, 18" wheels, sports suspeension, hi-fi upgrade so not the base spec.
It also includes the first years servicing and f/c insurance for a year
However, try buyng a brand new V8 5.0L RWD muscle car with the above spec + 3yrs warranty, full dealer back up in the UK for 19K

Don't think Ford would be too chuffed to find out one of it's dealers was Importing cars.
Think they look good, but couldn't own one. Isn't the suspension configuration (Live axle) from the 50's. Have heard they handle like a whale.
More a cruiser than a sports car.
Just remembered you live in Dubia. Do Ford officialy sell them there??

I got my Mustang V8 in nov 2004 was the 2005 model,
not wanting to put you off it was pants, diff whined louder than the Mrs and the steering on centre was great but then went very vague, dont even think about braking hard from 70mph as it used up two lanes with brake weave, the engine had bags of torque but then took ages to spool down so you coulnt get the next gear, the electric windows, have a comfort drop feature when the door opens they wind down a bit to miss the seal, but its too clow so you are always cathcing the door top, looked sexy, sounded sexier but was pants, i spent ages on mine getting it through the SVA without modifying the rear lights too,
i cut the loom (very scary on new car) and put orange LED packs behind the outside of the 3 bars of red lights, the centre i made the brake and tail light, then i put extra shiny backing on the inside lights and made them the fogs so it looked identical to the original american car without stuck on caterham lamps, then i had to drill a 13mm hole in the side of the headlamp to put the side light in as its orange on the US car, also muchos scary, got through and no one else has managed it without additional lights, sold it unregistered after 600 miles

They're cheap to buy and run for me as I'm in Texas, thought of one originally as there is so much car for the money, however I'm now thinking of a 330 convertible instead, which is around $45,000 if I remember correctly.... The European cars are obviously not as cheap as the US brands, but great value after leaving London.....
