Default Porshe Sportec SPR1

This one has got looks and performance and only cost £155k . Sorry Mr Bugatti, this is how to make an uber-car with change to buy a mansion to complete the look

Spec:
802BHP
Twin turbo 3.6 flat 6
0-60 2.9secs
Top Speed: excess of 236mph

That is a thing of beauty for sure.
Given the choice between that and the RUF RT12 - now thats when it becomes a little more difificult

The RUF is no doubt an amazing car but is .8secs slower to 60, down 150bhp and only capable of 225mph......bit tame isn't it

But it has more provenance than Sportec, 9ff or indeed any other aftermarket Porsche tuner

I wonder how much of the 155k is to cover engine rebuilds?

They could proably afford to sell the car at 135k, knowing most will never push the car to it's limits.

But those that break engines, and it will break.....will get a nice "free" rebuild.

Indeed- I don't believe you can make a modified 800bhp Porker engine reliable on a day to day basis. Just look at Guy's RUF and thats been relatively lightly breathed over to 625bhp !

Come on, only 800 bhp, the Bugatti has over a thousand and thats only the cooking model, the new version of the Veyron will have 1293 bhp !

According to Autocar this week.
