I'm in the market for a MX5 Montana Special Edition so am touring the Mazda dealers and asking them to keep an eye out for me.

Magna Mazda in Canford Cliffs, Poole have got one arrived today ......... trouble is they are living in dreamland regarding their price!!

Now, I know they are always in cuckooland with prices - being way over the top - anyone on here care to admit to getting ripped off by them?

Or, has anyone any idea where I can get a MX5 Montana?

Didn't you have issues with them once before...??? i did visit them once with my mum, she was looking at a '6'..... didn't like it though.....

When I was looking for the MX5 I now have I crossed their very expensive path, yes.

Can't remember actually having issues with them other than the Boss Salesman bloke rubs me up the wrong way ..... like I do with others I guess??

Canford Cliffs is full of wealthy blue rinsers hence the prices.
They had a Suzuki Cappuccino there when we were looking and I walked in with cash in my pocket, waved it front of the sales bloke and he still didn't want to sell me the overpriced car for £500 less.

There is another Mazda dealer in Christchurch where they maybe more 'real world', part of the same group but maybe they'll do a different deal

Yes, it's the same group with the same attitude in Christchurch - I think the main salesman picks the prices and just refuses all offers.

Then, if he can sell at the screen price why would he shift his stance? I would love to see the day when the market changes and he needs to talk I'll flash the cash then drop the price again

Mazda dealers do seem to have more than their fair share of 'attitude' towards punters ..... especially when it comes to the superb MX5, which a blind monkey could sell
