Facelifted/New X5

Facelifted/New X5
Hi
Seen various posts across the web on the next gen. X5, but all either seem a bit out of date (really crappy/old spy shots) or very US based (e.g. release dates).
Has anyone got any better (insider?) information on:
a) when it might be due in the UK
b) whether it'll have the Twin Turbo Diesel engine from the 535d in it, which I'm sure would be a great engine in an X5.
c) better spy shots, without so much disguise - apparently, it might be released in the US in November 2006, so how come there's not much info leaked out yet???
Cheers
645.

645, based on recent threads its probably the worst place you could have asked, somebody will be on ranting about mock tudor homes, wives with silicone *****, credit and a lack of indicators, oops the last one is already covered.
I think the twin turbo diesel being fitted is about as a sure thing as I can imagine, just surprised they havent stuck it in the old one yet.
Perhaps we can keep this one on a technical basis, as opposed to it degenerating into a slanging match ?

'You do know that this is scoobyet.'
Yep, point taken, just think the X5 debate is old, some people like them and buy them, some people want one and then theres those who get all wound up about them, me sometimes but there are plenty of other cars out there to get irate at !

Range Rovers, Cayennes and the Bentley Arnage that was parked in a disabled spot at Sainsbury's yesterday without a badge but with a seemingly able bodied driver, ergo X5 driver's have not got the monopoly on c*nty driving !

The only bits I've read so far is that it will be approx 12 inches longer and have the facility for 7 seats. The X6 will be out at around the same time whenever that is.

Do you think its clever to post such complete bollocks ? There have been enough threads about X5's that you can argue and insult SUV drivers on so why try to turn this thread into yet another one ? Either chip in with something useful or shut up.

Doesn't bother me and in general I don't mind some wind up merchants but the thread was started by someone new to the site who probably does not realize that audilover in known for being a ****.

Says the X5 driver.
Its funny that whenever anyone says anything negative about SUV's their owners get all defensive.
