E-class 300d wagon,..........
Anybody own one ...? im thinking of getting one (6k bracket) clearly not exiting but dam smooth afaik and use similar quantity fuel as scooby...however are possible replacement parts going to make it prohibitive

Mate has an E320 CDI and its really nice, smooth, fast and comfy, parts arent that bad if you go to German and Swedish or Euro Car Parts, anything that needs to come from main dealers will be expensive.

Are you looking at the old indirect injection, non turbo, 300D or the later turbocharged 300TD or the even later commonrail engine?
The non turbo version is ultra smooth and sounds like a straight six petrol engine. It's only 140bhp and doesn't have much low down torque so forget any sort of performance from a heavy E Class.
