The VAG 2.0TDi is a bit unrefined and coarse and it needs to be worked in the big A6.
The six cylinder unit in the 5 series is silky smooth, refined and powerfull.
On the engine choices you have it would have to be the BMW.
Cheers

The VAG 2.0TDi isn't great, this months what car says it feels underpowered and coarse in the A4.
I've driven the Passat and Octavia with the 2.0TDi and it isn't as good as Fords TDCi for refinement and power delivery.
