Default Volkswagen Eos

Was on the VW site having a nosey at the Touareg's & noticed that they have added a new convertible to there range.

23k for a 2.0tdi ?? Cant be that bad is it ?? Is it on the same platform as the A4 ??

Anyone know a release date or any other information ??

Wheelbase looks a bit short for A4 platform.

Its not on the A4 platform. Im not too sure if it was golf or not. From the back it looks similiar to the ford focus CC and the vauxhall astra CC so some people have said they might all be sharing a platform.

Ford, GM, and VAG don't have a sharing agreement in place.

Anyway, just because something looks similar doesn't mean it is shared - more like copied. Look how Honda have ...err...pinched Audi's rear light design here.

It could be a coincidence but each car is debuting around the same time and wheelbase length and overall shape of the car is uncanny. Itw as even mentioned in Top Gear.
