Vectra. Does the job, very well.

Get a V6 SRi for that. For better efficiency, the 2L 16 SRi 140.

You've left the field pretty wide open there.

VW Jetta?

Mondeo?

Jaguar XJ?

Mint cherished Morris Marina?

I sold the scooby Sunday and now urgently need a replacement. Was looking along the lines of Passat but the ones I've seen on Autotrader have all been sold

That depends how old it is doesn't it? And I kind of assumed you weren't thinking of a new car for £3,500.

How about this?

I paid five times the budget for a new 156 and had loads of hassle with the car and the dealer, that's why they are cheap second had.

I'd go for a Mondeo, good to drive, cheap to buy and cheap to service/maintain.

Cheers
Lee
