Thumbs up It's RS Time

Had the 996 Turbo 4 months now (long time for me). I have loved it, but as I'm 25 years old it didn't really have enough character for me. Maybe in a few more years I'm from Essex so loud and spoilers are what I'm all about!

The Turbo is awesum, but yesterday I went to the dealer to get some antifreeze and had to park next to a GT3RS!

It was lovely, and after a coffee with the dealer it was.

Totally differant car to the turbo, not as fast on UK roads, but on track much quicker. Wonder how long I can keep this for!!

Nearly bought a 360 Mod, but went with the RS at the last second.

Its under full warranty, and has been featured in magazines, so it's a famous car, luckily porsche GB looked after it, and I got a very good price.

Some Pics:-

Should keep me amused for a few months!!

With the 997 model looming it's a great time to buy, they can be had for very reasonable money.

Can I be cheeky and ask what you do for a living?

back to RS: Stunning, great in white.... What made you choose the porker over the 360 though?

Very very nice, although I'm guessing it will require just a little bit more respect with the right foot than the turbo did.

It was asked above, but being a blunt bugger, dare I ask what it is you do for a living that affords you a GT3RS let alone the insurance on it!

Maybe I'll change career .....

Well how I come to afford these cars is abit of a story...

I've had a few jobs since I was 19. I started off in WHSMiths selling papers, then got a job with Demon Internet on the support desk. A customer called in and offered me a job, so joined his firm in IT. I saved up enough to buy a Subaru Turbo so went to see Wilsons in Chadwell Heath. The owner asked how I could afford the car so young, I told him I was into IT, he then offered me a job working for his dealership.

After a year or so there, a subaru customer offered a job within his company, and I've been their ever since. My official title is 'Senior UNIX consultant' I also work with Oracle.

My parents sent me to Forest School in snaresbrook, which is a Private Boarding School. However I ran away from there at 15, without so much as a GCSE under my belt. I moved in with a girl 5 years older with 2 kids, and played Dad to them for a few years Married her on my 16th Birthday, bad move!!

So basically I had nothing and fell into the jobs through word of mouth, and thats where we are now

Thats the short version anyway. I think I need to write a book for the detailed events of it all!
