You will have a job one drifting any of them, need an LSD for that fella,2.8 special capri will have one,all others dont.
Cheapest drift cars really are,
200SX
E30 BMW sport
E34 BMW sport
Unless you wanna pop your own diff in,you will just be blasting all your power away on the inside wheel..

Thanks for the reply's, paul after looking into the Carlton gsi they seem out of budget. If need be the diff can be welded solid, will this destroy any other drive train in the process??

sierra is probably your best bet for cheapness and even the diesel ones can get the tail out as traction is rubbish!!
an lsd should be available from some other sierra or mk3 granny
Other good rwd option is a peugeot 505 gti has lsd std 130 bhp and very good fun to slide about in sadly Not many left now though and only saloon has lsd estate was open diff.
Also made a v6 170 hp but no lsd for some reason!

The peugeot 505 sounds like a winner but i can only find one auto for £300. Will check scot adds later on. Really set my heart on a sierra now, cant wait for the axle tramp and rally side exit exhaust.
Heres some potential.

Those lucky frenchies and americans believe it or not got a turbo version 180hp for the last of them!
That was 15 years ago

Ali dont diss the sierra its a weapon!! This car is only being purchased for fun, plans are to develop drift skill and turn it into a rally machine. Are the diesel sierra's turbo??

the diesel sierra originaly used a 2.3 pug engine but the later ones used the 1.8 escort engine with a turbo
both are slow and smelly though

I sold a bmw 316i less than 2 weeks ago for 75 sheets. If you'd asked you could have had it. OK it was an estate and had done 140k but otherwise it meets the criteria.
Oh and it is not a sierra!
