RS1800's are like gold dust especially custom models, i can imagine it'll fetch that with those miles, i knew of one that sold last year for £18,000. a guy that works by me has got a S reg RS2000 thats been restored, he's been offered £14,000 for it but still said no!!

Non-custom for 15k so a limited run of 20 should reach a lot more than that really, so 25k doesn't seem out of the way does it?

Perhaps not for a starting bid but as a final price it seems ok.

Why do people always seem shocked by the price of classic cars............................no not going off on one cant be bothered

I almost bought one of these new in 1975 (Ford were struggling to sell them), but went for a six-month-old RS2000 instead - worried about the reliability of the head

25 grand for an old Escort, Jesus, I knwo that model is rare and quite sought after but I can imagine my wife's face if I came home with that, 25 grand lighter.
