Old cars vs new cars. A 1958 Aston:
"Initially the twin camshaft, six cylinder engine was to 125bhp DB2 Vantage tune - enough for 120mph and 0-60mph in 11.2 seconds - but in Summer 1954 the capacity was increased from 2,580cc to 2,922cc, which raised power to 140bhp at 5,000rpm and reduced the 0-60mph time to 10 seconds."
and later
"East Anglia never looked as good as it did recently when the author was able to pilot this extremely fine example round some country lanes, leaning on the throttle during the straight bits and revelling in the leather clad cockpit as it squatted down, turned up the volume and leapt towards the horizon."
Better not let the guy drive a 90s TVR then....
