Where abouts are you mate? You'll be looking at £60 for the clutch (if you choose to fit the Volvo 480 turbo one which the so called tuners like to call Group A, B, C, D or whatever mood they're in ). And i'd say somewhere around £200 to fit it, if you go to someone who knows what they're doing

Yeah its supposedly a 10hour job, engine out but there are other ways and some people have done it so many times you'll probably find you can get it done at a reasonable price/time...

Give us a location and we'll tell you the best selection of people to go see and get it done

done it with lowering the subframe on passenger side to create enough room to pull the box off enough to get the clutch in/out.

was a pain in the **** job and took 5-6 hours with a very good mechanic mate helping.

You'd usually just take the engine out... it's a lot easier...

Good few hours of a job though, I've done it a few times.

I fitted one myself a few years ago, it was the 480 Turbo clutch Billgtt mentioned, think it was a valeo... I was removing a so-called "group-A" racing clutch which had lasted all of 4000 miles (car was heavily modified)..

I diddnt remove the engine, just unbolted the front of the subframe and chocked it down about 2 inches... Did it over 2 nights after work I think so cant have been that hard..
