Not too keen on the shape of the "C" pillar, but maybe it will grow on me.
Apart from that, OMG, how mean does that thing look. Imagine it in black, screaming up behind you.

Funny, some manfucturer's ideas of futuristic design produces some abominations (a-hem, look at the latest Subaru concept offerings)!
This however is prove of how to get it right.

Wonder if it will be as tunable as the R32, 33, 34???

Got to say it looks very nice. However. Like every other manufacturer around, with every new model comes bigger wheels, with yet wider (guessing the fronts on this will be 265/35's) and lower tires. There is simply no way the Lotus boys can fix the on-road handling. One must assume the car will be much more in the mould of a 911GT-3- all track biased, with so-so on road predictability and adjustability.
As Evo mag found out awhile ago, there is one way to make a car with massive 19/20 inch wheels handle progressively, put a massive amount of weight over those wheels and then put that weight on stilts - out comes a Cayanne. 5000lbs of steel that handles just fine, but only up to a point until all that momentum enthusiastically takes a wet corner and inspiration turns to prayer.
Ironically enough maybe in a few years, there will actually be an aftermarket for regular size wheels and tires? And to keep the cool look owners could tape alloy colored material around the diameter of each wheel, convincing everyone that certainly those (16's) must be 22's.
Scratching my head as to how any future supercars will be able to be driven on real roads? Thinking the econo-box (Impreza, Focus, Lancer, Golf, 1-series, 3-series) is now the only game in town, small wheels for people who can't afford to pony up the big money, but ironically who get the best drive.

You have an interesting point about the trend in wheels though.
