Is it a Porsche dealership. If so i am suprised and dissappointed.
Two differing makes will mean differing compounds and tread patterns also likely differing grip, wear wet weather performance and all sorts of factors.
I would not mix and match tyres on axles on any of my cars - on performance cars i would not mix and match at all.

OM is just fine for this post IMHO.
Your mate is buying a car that costs serious £££'s not a 6 y/o mundeo and i would expect matching rubber. likely the tyre fitters did not have the right brand/type to match so fitted what they had but even so it should only take a day to get the correct one in. A decnet tyre fitter may have pointed that out and a decent dealership may have listened. IMHO of couse
It is a pity and not what i oould want however they are both Premium makes but best to match on performance cars IMHO
I would kick up and get them to change the offending tyre if possible, maybe pay the difference if needs be, not likely to be much but should be included.

You learn something new every day - this might affect any Porsche warranty if not adhered to???
