E30 M3 back on the road!!!
Had the car for about 3 years, done a few track days and driven it for a little while but over the past 2 years its been sat in my garage and has only done about 100 miles in that time.
I decided to give it a bit of a fettle so bought new suspension for it, new alloys and then thought 'sod it' might aswell get it painted as it had faded a bit.
It had taken me a long time to find a good one (only done 60k) but being red the paintwork fades
Got it back today and thought Id share it with you lot.

I think it looks fantastic, just would look better with "proper" wheels. What are the ones with the black inner section that were on a special edition? They would look cool.
Let me go and find a pic.......

My M3 was written off, the first day it was put in a compound the 16's were pinched very rare and very expensive! Black BBS's are off the EVO2 AFAIK
Looks gorgeous with fresh paint BTW!!

will you lot stop talking about these fantastic cars, I am missing my Cecotto like crazy, I love the fact that I replaced it with the Scooby, but it is not the same as feeling the RWD working down a tight b road, I will own another one one day, oh yes, it will be mine...

I think the wheels look good on there and do suit it..I had an Evo II and despite having larger 16s on it still did not look right..I went for some 17" BBS RCs and it transformed the look of the car...
Not to sure on the rear lights though but other than that it looks a pretty mint car considering it has been sat in a garage for 2 years..
Still regret selling it...Best car I have ever had and probably will ever own...

Being a MK2 Golf GTI owner I love all things german, especially with abit of pedigree behind it , E30 M3 are what I always aspired to, a serious driver's car , but like my MK2, other newer cars may **** all over it (in terms of straight line performance may I add ), but for me the legendary status and the fun factor behind the wheels is'n't the same as what you get now a-days, bit like the E30 M3s and E36 M3s and Mk2s and Mk3s, one day I hope I'll have one for sure.............

I do appreciate the comments guys although some may not be positive and as someone said 'each to their own'. I have always wanted one since I was about 15 but there are flaws with the old style. The big balloon tyres that dont fill the arches hence the 18" M5 alloys and the lowered bilsteins.
I wanted to keep it as near standard as poss but as its 15 years old and the design is nearly 20 years old there were things that could be updated without going too extreme. I bought the rear lights because I thought they suited the car but as some say they dont go but we'll see.
I have driven it now for about 300km and will start to give it some redline fun in a week of so......thats what its all about.....redline cornering

Parts are far from expensive thanks to Euro Car parts and GSF. Servicing is equally as good thanks to most indys.
16vmarc: Lights arent everyones cup of char but I have always liked them so thought Id give them a try....do have second thoughts myself
