Motor for the little women - any suggestions?
My other half is looking for a second have motor.
Her requirements are:
Budget: - 2-4k
Insurance - group 14 or lower
Size - Smaller than a focus.
Doors - 5
A/C
ABS
PAS
0-60 8 or 9 ish
Reliable
She'll regularly be doing a London > Manchester (and back) run - so must be OK on long motorway runs.
Looking at:
Corsa
Punto
206
Fiasta
Clio
I'm not really familiar with the Jap / Chinese cars of this range - what's on offer from them?
Do Skoda have a nippy runner of this size?
Ta for help.

Having taken a hired Yaris from Lisbon to Porto and back (3 hrs each way), I'd definitely AVOID one for regular London-Manchester runs. Though maybe you could get one with a better engine than ours. (Can you get them for 2-4k now?)
Skoda Fabia is raved about here, not sure if that's in your price range.

I have run a Corsa for the last 4 years and they are good enough for runs around that distance. THe 1.2's a re little under you power, but only IG 3, better looking at an early Corsa C 1.4 SRi or Elegance tbh. cheap and economical.
