Default AM V8 Volante for £4k

Bloke in the pics looks a tad dodgy

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1980-ASTON-MAR...QQcmdZViewItem

Surely it would be worth more than that even if the engine was knacked

Car looks a wee too good to be true for that. Lack of info, 24hr auction, private bidders, and very dodgy grammar all ring bells

Hmm...looks like the typical 'buy it now' escrow/paypal scam business.......does the car happen to be somewhere in europe?...

Believe it or not...Birmingham does have few fields

Ad still looks dodgy.

And I say this..NEVER buy an AM without very thorough inspection ontop and underneath....AMs of that era are very poorly made cars indeed, and can cost a fortune to put right. Think of a Jaguar and multiply by five

Even the later Virages came out the factory with corroding front and rear wheel arches.

Yeah, 4 grand "Buy it Now" and 10 times that to make it roadworthy .... remember, back in the late eighties when people were buying these cars as investments and having them overhauled, Aston martin made more money out of this than they did out of selling the new ones!!

Wonder if thats the actual colour or has he just put a coat of laquer on the rust??
