What experience have people had with them, how easy to get the back out on the power esp. in wet?

To get the back you have to be in the VTEC Zone above 6K rpm, thats where the power / torque is that could cause trouble. In my view its one of the best mannered RWD cars I've had, and very forgiving .
One thing that really effects this car is tyre wear and pressure, more than other cars I've had e.g. Subaru, TVR etc.
Cheeky plug as well http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=450808

Don't believe the hype mate - yes, the will bite you hard if you do silly things in them but you can get away with quite a lot before that. 240bhp, rear wheel drive and wet can be daunting but remember the car doesn't have much torque so to break traction you have to seriously hoof it and usually well into vtec. The S2000 is by far the most special car I've owned even if not quite the outright fastest.

99% of it is driver error IMO. I drive mine carefully in the wet and dont have any bother. I had a guy keep up with me in the wet in one, and I was in an STi5!
A lot of people who crash them aren't good drivers or in touch with the car IMO. The problem with them is that they give little warning of it, but not if you're being sensible. The Bridgestones are better suited to the dry, and none too good when there's less than 5mm left.
Girl at work has had one for 3 years and drives it daily with no issue.
If you get the vtec going on a wet bend, youre going to be in a lot of bother, but as I said I think you have to be really driving like a **** to do that. More than 30% throttle exiting a wet bend and you're asking for bother, but thats the same with most rwd really.
Awesome piece of machinery, dont let the horror stories put you off!
Im selling a mint MY00 one with low miles
