Default Ex scooby, my new toy.....

Some folk might remember i sold my jap classic scooby for a 106 GTI. Well had that for a while and now have this.....have a thing for clios, this is my 4th, cant seem to keep away from them, really great fun cars to drive! im driving a nissan micra for work, this is for fun and track!

First off the bonnet is carbon, the cutout looks crap, but im trying to think of something better, currently there for purpose over looks!

Basic spec is 2.0 16v, AWT head, 280 cams, jenvey throttle bodies, omex, custom rad! Chassis has williams front track, coilovers, 4 pots (yet to fit) performance is 216bhp and 170lbs/ft and weight is 900kg! lots of fun!

I'm loving the 1.2 badge. You need to get rid of the bulge and create a proper sleeper!

the bulge on the 16v's is needed for the bonnet to shut lol! its just the bulge has been left in carbon weave hence why its darker.

its pretty quick at any speeds really. quicker than my old classic scooby (280bhp) very raw power delivery, and very fukin loud when its revving its **** off lol

Thumbs up

2 buckets/harnesses, a cage, nothing else. You'll destroy most things on track.

Great motor with an even better power/weight ratio. I had one of these (well a 1.8 16v) version on a K plate, not the best car I've ever owned reliability wise, but it was most certainly a hot hatch from the era when they were rough and raw without hint of the homosexuality like many modern Hot Hatch's nowadays.

Loving it, good one!!

they are standard clio factory leather seats. very comfy, and quite rare! I've only just got a 2nd car for work so wanted some comfort! my last car had buckets and harnesses and it was annoying using it daily

future plans.....well now its not being used daily, thinking about a full cage (altho extra weight), black wheels instead of the white ones, willwood 4 pots. Engine wise, its been limited to this power for the moment, much more and the diff, and bottom end wont last very long, but with a bit of work, it could see 240ish with no bother.

Are you going trax? Get it on the track there!

Just out of interest how much did you pay for the clio?

There is a point in 1/4 mile times. Something to talk about down the pub, and an easy way to knacker up your motor.

1/4 miling is good fun boyced, you should try it before knocking it, but IMO but you need a quick car to enjoy it properly no point in running half my old cars like the standard gti, but the suprise factor of a standard(ish) looking clio 16v against a posing git in his 300hp TT is worth it!

1/4 mile times are a good way to know how quick a motor actually is! Like the TT clio, people knew it was quick, but untill he ran 12 seconds 1/4 miles then people really started to understand how quick it was!

dont think im going to trax no, donningon is gonna be the next one i think!

and less than 35 stone halved maybe you cheeky get!

okey dokey, think a few from RSC are going to pod on the 21st if you fancy it mate?

i'll give ya a race no probs if you like, but........the extra 600kg in your VRS might give the clio a slight advantage though
