LMAO @ Vauxhall's ripoff prices
I have to do an engine flush + oil change on my Astra this weekend, now all the parts will cost me about a tenner (can get oil at trade club price from Vauxhall), phoned up Vauxhall to ask how much they would do an oil change on my Astra for, and they quoted me £65!
It's only a 1.4 16v engine as well FFS!

That price isn't for a service though that's just for oil + filter change, nothing else, not even engine flush!
I thought it was bad enough when I had to pay £130 for them to fit new front discs and pads recently!
Oh well - time to get my hands (and probably face and upper torso) dirty/oily this weekend!

Amongst other things, what about air filter, plugs, fuel filter, pollen filter..and all the time associated with fitting them. You can spend anything upto a day on some cars just fitting plugs..Ok..that is on some italian autoerotica, but some very mundane run of the mill motors can take 3-4 hours easily to get a full set of plugs in..Dont get me started on pollen filters..lol...

Yeah I got them to change the front discs and pads as I couldn't be bothered to do it myself at the time... Got Trade Club pricing on the parts though so wasn't too bad...!
I had to change the spark plugs on my brother's old Cavalier V6 once... That was interesting, as to get to the plugs on the rear bank you had to remove the inlet manifold... Oh well.
