1980's mystery car? Help Needed!
Back in the 1980's (Im guessing 1985ish) there was a type of car which existed and I'm trying to trace...
It was almost 4wheel drive in shape but had normal car ground clearance. The shape went something like, bonnet up to roof and then I'm sure there was a lip up to a higher part of the roof at the back with curved glass on the corners of the roof down the side...
I thought it was a renault but having scoured the web it turns out not to be...
Please can anyone help a gang of lads who claim to be car enthusiasts but cant remember the flipping cars name? Pics would be fantastic
Thanks
P

Are you sure you didn't just draw this car with some crayons at school?

I always wanted my father to get one of these back when I was a boy!! Thankfully, he didn't take my boy-ish advice!
Looking at the above image, do you think LandRover copied the design for the Discovery? Quite similar!

Ooh - this got me thinking about other old quirky cars...
Anyone remember the Renault Fuego ! Don't see any of those around now - wonder why ?
I remember yearning after one when I was a nipper...how sad

There was a track prepped Fuego at this years French Car Show, looked pretty cool.
Renault 11 turbos were also of that era and could look nice when modded properly.

Hee Hee remember them all as a kid the fuego was one of my favourites
As for the Talbot Rancho, well some rich kids mum had one in my village and we were on about how she had recently been having a fling with the dentist etc when my mum reminded me of when her 'stupid big car' had reversed into her xr2... This sparked the fury of trying to remember what type of car it was
And yeah the croma.... awful indeed a fella round the corner from my parents used to own a grey one.... nice
