Have a look at this site Matt - lots of useful info. As CTR mentioned, SELOC is probably the best forum to be on. The Lotus forums on Pistonheads are also very good.

Ive been thinking of an Elise for a while, and keeping an eye on the prices, and theres no doubt they've come down quite a bit since spring. I wouldve expected prices to firm up in the summer, but doesnt seem to have happened.

14k will just about get you a series 2 now

LOL Steve - it's only that changing jobs means that I don't need such a 'practical' car and I could have something less sensible You know I've got a soft spot for Elise's.

Gor for it, I'm in the final throes of insurance-o-payout so with any luck I'll be on the lookout for an S2 111/135 with LSS in the next few months

I got my S1 Elise last autumn and am still enjoying. Second hand values are pretty good long term for the S1 and early S2 with the switch to more expensive toyota engines in the newer cars. This is all good stuff as I cant imagine ever really selling mine.

I can't get over the contrasting reaction I get to the Elise. People either love it or hate it. I guess its like the motoring equivalent of Marmite.
