Question What battery does the pug 205 plip take?

Currently have a 205 Mardi Gras Turbo diesel for the daily commute to work. I have the plip (Remote central locking device) but no battery insode.

The plip I have is the grey one. The size of a small torch with the red button you press on the side. When you open the back of the plip to insert the battery you just have 2 copper connectors. Can anyone tell me what type of battery you use for it? Or is it a special go to Pug dealer and get ripped off for pug only type of battery?

Thanks.

Just found the owners manual but it only references that the plip takes 3 x 1.5v batteries. But it doesn't make mention of which type of batteries.

Its those annoying little round batteries, watch type but about 7mm thick.

I can take a pic of the batteries in my 405 plip if you like?

Do you by chance know the battery code (.ie. I know the battery code for my Dads Renault Megane is a 2016 lithium)? I can work out the + and - signs in the top cap so I have an understanding how they stack together. Thanks for the offer though

I think it takes 3 small watch batteries - (LR44 ? Not sure of the code) take the remote to a camera or watch shop and ask to try one out.

I guess they're different codes for the same batteries?
