Only got the quoted figures, which are 190bhp / 290lbft.. Apparently some sneak up to 200bhp though.. Will RR it sometime..

I have a 150 PD Bora, it's not bad, but I've been toying with a performance upgrade, any idea where to get the Revo kit from? costs etc.

Its 499+Vat (best to find somewhere not VAT registered), REVO have franchises nationwide (http://www.revotechnik.com/) Its just done through your serial port, takes about 10 mins..

Close with the bhp guess but way off on the torque!

You change a bit early in 3rd and 4th don't you? Does it run out of puff??

Yes they arnet the best timed changes, but if anything went a bit high in the lower gears.. Hard to see though with a digi-camera in front of the rev-counter!!

Think Peak torque is 2000-3000 Rpm and Power about 4000...

Looks like a half day trip to TSL in the next two weeks - I thought I'd stopped spending money there after getting rid of the Impreza!

PS I'm sure my current settings allow 110 mph in 4th; 0-60's about 7.5.

Cheers

Good vid mate! Seems about 15.5secs to 100 indicated, that would mean your true speed was about 93/95mph so would end up at about 17secs to 100mph not bad for an oil burner!!

I have been running a similar conversion (by another tuner) on my Golf PD150 now for about 12 months. I had it on a RR last year and it got 194/285 @ Powerstation (which reputedly read on the caucious side).

Mine was live/custom mapped though (took about 4 hours) to get optimum power, minimal smoke & reliability etc (car has done circa 30k miles since mapping).

I notice yours has the traction control off Mine wheelspins in 1st and in to 2nd in the dry (with traction control switched on ) on full hammer!

Regards,
Shaun.

I used to have an Ibiza TDI sport with 193bhp & 332lbft Its about 150kgs lighter than the golf, was a flying machine, especially in 4th gear.

Saying that the Porsche is somewhat faster...

That'll be Jabba then?? They also know what they are doing...

Turned off ESP as it cuts too much power, better to let it spin.. ESP actually flashes up from 2nd to third in the wet on a quick change.. Going to do another run, but driving on the torque (i.e. 2000- 3000 Rpm) be interesting to see how the times compare.

Angrybeats - was trying to have a Tdi thread without mpg mentioned should have done it on the overall average, which is currently 44..
