Hi,

Yep, I've had two 'regular' GSRs. There isn't a huge amount of difference, but the mian differences are as follows.

TME had:

- Slightly quicker steering rack
- Slightly lower suspension
- Red/Black Recaros instead of Blue/Black and red dials
- White Enkei Alloy instead of silver Oz Supers T's
- Different front bumper
- Ceramic turbo instead of steel (quicker spool up, but withstands tuning less)
- Front strut brace as std

That's it I think. Not a huge difference really.

Hi. Do these 'minor' differences make the premium for a Mak( £2-£4K) worth it?

Have just come from a P1 to an Evo Tommi Mak. Never drove the E6 GSR so I can't compare the 2. Suspension is harder but it's definately faster than the P1!

Hi Mickle.
Do you mind if I ask how much you paid/mileage/dealer or private?

In my opinion no. You are paying for a little more exclusivity, but Evo VI's aren't very common anyway. I had 2 GSRs and never thought the Mak was worth the extra. To be honest, for tuning purposes, the steel turbo on the GSR is stronger anyway, so if you've got tuning in mind, get a GSR.

Looks wise, you can always buy a GSR and get a Mak front bumper, they're about 300 quid for a copy.

Good luck,

Mart.

But that's like saying I'm not paying an extra £2k for a 2001 car cause I can get a 1999 car for cheaper! The extra is in the age and the mileage surely. And I've heard the titanium turbo is better in the Mak for tuning, not the older GSR model.
