Default Honda Integra DC5

I picked up my 02 Integra DC5 last Thursday and I have to admit the it is so much better than I expected.

I sold my RB5 WRSPORT in June and was looking for something that i thought was impossible a car that gave me performance, reliability, style and fuel ecconomy. The DC5 gives me all of the above with the added bonus that it's as rare a rocking horse ****.

It handles so much better than the RB5, admitedly it doesn't have the power being only 220bhp where the RB5 was 301 but it just refuses to understeer even in these slippery conditions it just digs in and goes where you want it to go.

The engine is superb offering 32-34 combined mpg and when you get it into VTEC region, about 6.5k to 8.7k, it just sounds amazing.

The inside is great with Recaro's as standard

If anyone is looking for a Scooby alternative then you won't go far wrong with 1 of these

The only thing stopping me from getting one of these having had a mk1 integra is the general running of the car being a rare import. Can it be serviced by a Honda dealer and how hard will it be to get hold of parts from Japan.

Any news on Honda UK selling these as I was disappointed with the civic.

Honda UK will service it no problem and the parts come from Honda's European warehouse in belgium just like the parts for UK Honda's

Honda UK will not be selling the DC5, there's jusy been a 2005 model released and the rumour is that this will be the last 1

Beautiful car mate. I have a DC2 and love it - the handling is sublime.

Was thinking of chopping it in for a DC5 - can I be cheeky and ask what you paid?

Cheers,

tiggers.

I prefer the DC2.

Honda seem to have lost their ways with the new cars (apart from the S2K)

You wouldn't think that if you drove a DC5

It's alot better than the DC2, maybe not quite as sharp but it's faster quieter and built better

Yeah I looked at the mods but for now I'm leaving it as standard, saying this I wouldn't mind putting a supercharger on it

Hi Guys,

Not been on here for a while as I've been enjoying my DC5, I'll take a couple of pics and post them up after chrimbo...

It's an excellent car, great full economy when oput of VTEC but the sound, looks, handling are all top notch.

I paid £16,5k for mine with 6k miles on the clock it;s a grade 5 car.
