Question Golf R32

A mate is after one of these - anyone got one or driven one? Any views?

Do you think prices may come down once the new GTi is launched?

Well we took one to the Nurburgring a year ago, thrashed it there and back and 2 days solid on the ring, never missed a beat, still going well to date!

maybe theres one off but this car is very good!!

I remember when i had my scoob and the clutch juddered like a barsteward at 30k miles....they all do that sir.

I sold mine to buy my Sti.

Fantastic piece of kit but you don't feel as if you're accelerating as quick as you are (big n/a lump).

If it wasn't for the lack of room inside i would have kept it forever!!

12 months and 8000 miles of hard driving and it never missed a beat.

Sister's boyfriend has one, never had any probs with it AFAIK - His dad then went and got one too.

It's been chipped up to 280bhp now in an attempt to keep up with my standard MY00

Lovely motor but the exhaust drones something rotten, and not nearly as quick as I was expecting it be - 6 speed box might as well only be 5 'cos 3rd was hopeless!

Cheers for the advice - despite the potentially iffy gearbox I'm telling my mate to get one.

But only so I can thrash him in my STi
