Volvo S80 D5 SE
Yes, they're barges, and yes, I'm aware of the image. But having been offered one on a 52 plate for sub £2k, I'm tempted to get it as a station car.
The drawdack is the mileage - 175,000 - but it's been a chauffeurdrive vehicle and fully serviced throughout.
Thoughts? Anyone with any experience of these tanks?

Haven't driven an 80, but the D5 motor is a cracker in the S60.
Huge grunt from 1500rpm to the redline and it sounds good too -- gruff but not like the usual oil-burner Massey-Ferguson racket (I know, I've got a Passat PD130
)
If it's FVSH then you should be fine. Is it auto or manual box? If auto, it's an absolute bargain.
