Default Karts - track days??

Lets say for instance I wanted a track car, but had no money or place to store it.

Let's say this was a grand, and I could store it:

where could I take it, do Kart tracks to "trackdays"?

Instead of track days, couldn't you enter it into some championship and race?

Yes most tracks do practise sessions where you just turn up. See www.karting.co.uk

You would need to pass an ARKS test to compete. Some tracks allow non license holders out for track time, but for the cost you may as well get serious at it. I race 2 stroke Rotax Max karts and its the best thing ive ever got into. Best thing you can do is look at your local kart club and watch a meeting or two. Then you'll be hooked!!!!!

I race at llandow well worth getting into, you could take that gearbox kart out any day of the week at llandow and most other tracks in the UK just give them a ring. As someone else said try www.karting.co.uk and look at the forum and you could also buy "karting magazine" that has lots of useful info in it.

I believe Sandown Park (Daytona) in Esher, Surrey has open days on track for people to bring their own karts for testing, shakedowns and thrashing!!

I also race Rotax Max awesome fun in the process of changing to a newer chassis and engine, sold my current kit going to look for maybe Tony Kart or Intrepid in the new year.

Got into it just over a year ago it can get very very expensive but if you just do it for fun like me it's not to bad.
