Looking for cheapy,about £600 must be 1.0 to 1.3 litre as my daughter need's to insure it,was thinking on a fiesta,polo,ax citreon,wot bad point's have any of these model's got i need to look out for!

don't do as i did and get a peugeot 205 diesel, i was advised they are bullet proof etc, I got a J plate for £400 i scrapped it after 3 months because basically everthing in the enginebay gave up. first month new stop solinoid, 2nd month new starter motor, 3rd month new glow plugs, end of third month fuel pump, so i thought sod it towed it to the breakers and gave it them.

If you can live with the badge - daewoo's are excellent value for money and ins groups are very low.

I'd also consider older civics - then go on forever. Ins groups are high for them though.
