Default Calling Dream Weaver, ....Calling Dream Weaver!

As you know I'm in the process of swapping a 1.9 into a 1.6. I've just taken out the 1.9 and about to order some parts to start tarting it up. I'm replacing cambelt, water pump, oil / fuel / airfilter plugs and intake / exhaust gaskets. Can you think of anything else that would be advisable to do now?

Might be a good idea to change the big ends they are cheap enough and very easy to do you could aslo uprate the oil pump at the same time.

Taff, I know a bit, but the lads over on 205gtid are like 205 gods, so its worth joining up there - they know far more than me, as Sean can vouch.

I would only do the shells etc if it was smoking or a bit dodgy before you removed it.

Valve stem seals are probably worth doing - you will need to remove the head, and clamp the liners in place, then do the stem seals.

Other than that, general bay tidying, check the wiring loom and connectors etc.
