Skoda Superb 1.9TDi 130 Comfort. Plenty of toys, including climate control, cruise, auto lights/wipers, 6cd etc. Extrememly comfortable on a run, and huge room inside (its as big as a S-class inside). Its no speed machine, but the engine is brilliant on motorways/A-roads and for fast cruising, 50 mpg and plenty of torque to keep you wafting along/past other traffic.

You may poo poo a Skoda, but this is an exceptionally underrated car. Go have a run in one and you'll see.

New or used, but at the most a couple of year old, not bothered if its petty or diesel as i aint going to be breaking any records in it.

Unfortunatly its me footing the fuel bill thats why i am ill with using the Porka all the time.

The Octavia's are a good car, basically an A4 without the 4 hoops

Vag's Eurofleet have just released a load of cars, dealers have them priced way high but a few of the supermarkets have some remaining.

You can pick up 03 Octavia TDi Ambient for £7999. For that you get the 90bhp engine, wheel trims, aircon, elec windows and mirrors and a CD changer.

A better bet is the Elegance which are going for £1000 more but get the variable geometry turbo 110bhp engine (A lot better performance and the same economy), full climate control, electric sunroof, armrest, 16" alloys and a few other bits. Some dealers are trying to push these out at near £11k, supermarkets are £2k cheaper.

Have a look at www.mh2k.com and www.directcars.co.uk

Cheers

In that case I refer to my previous answer. Superb's all have PD engines which are rare in Octavia's, plus there is no comparison in cabin room, the Superb is huge, even the Audi A6 isn't as big internally..

Seriously take a trip to a local dealer to have a look. I know I sound pushy, but my two closest friends have bought them and they are delighted with them.

Audi A6 1.9 TDI 130 - Plenty of power, reliable, comfy, cheap to maintain, lots of good ex company cars available at minute for good prices.

Oh and 50-60 mpg!
