Drove one again at Palmer sport the other weekend, very very quick, well sorted car. much better than the Elise. If i was in the market for a 2 seater then i would not hesitate to buy one.

Cracking car

I've had mine tuned to 240bhp 250lb/ft by AmD - now feels much swifter (in the 10's to hit 100).

Very reliable, cheap to run and great fun to drive.

Negatives:

- the ABS is seriously dodgy - hit a pot hole or bump mid-braking and you're in for a brown trouser moment. Many owners simply turn it off.
- if you change the air filter the Air Mass Meter is likely to blow. Most people stay with the OE.
- some dealers can give extermely poor service.

Even so, without a shadow of doubt the pro's outweigh the con's

Also drove one along with various other cars on a palmer motorspoirt date and i loved it.. have also driven the standard non turbo version and was impressed with that but the turbo version is a cracker.. def worth the cash... as mentioned earlier this is def. the car the elise should have been.

I have an Elise, and the VX220T is fantastic, but it does look like a brick, and interior was definetly styled by Vauxhall, it is awful, I find on track there aint much between them either, std VXT seems to have more wallow, and feels heavy.

I still reckon its a bargin much better VFM than the Elise, and so much better engine, shave a few pounds off it, fit some 340-R seats, and Nitrons, job done.

Rare too, there are less of those built than elises. The production run for the VX didnt break 1000 last year i believe.
