Default Ferrari 360 modena!

I know it sounds childish but, how many people here who own scoobs have gone against a 360 modena and how did you do, only asking cause bloke down the road own a 360 modena, nice bloke who aint to big headed, whos really into cars said that he struggled to keep up with a WR1 a couple of weeks ago, mostle down to the scoobs 4wd traction from the lights, said that he was really impressed by the way that it shot of the line.

One of my best mates raced 2.5 years ago against a 360 Modena with his 350bhp scoob...

What happened???

He sold the scoob about 15 days later and he still owns a Mk4 Supra 6-spd with a Big Single Turbo, no such problems since then.....

Rio Ferdinand made mince meat of me a few years back when my Uk scoob just had a back box. I'm running 260bhp now but would still expext a good spanking if we went head to head now
WR1 is a different kettle of fish however.
360 = 1390 kg and 394 bhp = 283bhp per ton
WR1 = 1480 kg and 320bhp = 216bhp per ton
Fair difference but launching a Rarri could be a touch more difficult than a Scoob
Don't ask about the twisties cos i don't care

I'd like too hear as-well otherwise I'll tell you in a bit
There's one around were I live. He sometimes drinks in a bar were my friend works and my friend has told him about me and my WR1. 'Bring it on' he said so, on it will be brought
I don't think I'll beat him but I'm sure he wouldn't be quite as over conferdent next time he talks about scoobs
Its a similar colour to my WR1 as well, absolutely gorgeous!

I raced one down a bit of dualled road when my MY99 was at 270bhp. He came off the roadabout a little sideway and then we both nailed. Our run was from 30-85mph where he lifted and I followed. In that time he pulled a car length or so but I expected to get thrashed by a far greater margin! I guess it like the elise vs an impreza thing - its all fine and dandy until 90mph and then the scooby just disappears. Similarly I expect the Ferrari was just about to put its real shift in when the race ended.

I had this white liquid running down my legs afterwards having seen the Modena at full chat

I suspect I could destroy a 360 modena to around 160mph

Scoobyboy there is a full lap on her of my sti playing with a ferrari 360 Modena challenge stradale around the nurburgring for a full lap.(the lightweight £133,000 version). Its in the dry and yes he is trying pretty damned hard
I let him pass early on (about 3K's in) and he is no more than 100 yards infront at the end of 13KM's.
The vid shows him getting it sideways when he dabs the brakes ontop of a crest at 150MPH with me sat on his butt.

Later that day the same car, or its twin brother was written off in the armco.ooouch.

It is by far and away the best sounding car I have followed and heard on full chat. Very special.

Coz I'm sure most 360 owners buy them to waste Imprezas at lights

I was honoured not so long ago to drive my mates 360 F1. It's obviously a very quick car. Awesome driving experience, although the fact I was driving someone elses 115K car held me back some It only had 1k miles on the clock so I didn't want to rag it out either!

I then took him out in the Scoob, pushed it a little . He was heard to say, this is a fast car isn't it!! Made me smile a bit more

At the end of the day the rarri is by far and away a much quicker car than the scoob but on a track its about the driver and experience rather than just the car.

rarri must do 0-100 in about 9 secs i should imagine? It also laps much quicker than a scoob but thats with a race driver on-board. IN the real workd I have yet to see one being really used in anger on the track. They tend to be polished and driven slowly unlike those bloody porsche 964RS's and GT3's

That's the thing - get maximum performance out of both and the 360 is a fair bit faster, especially over 100mph and on track. Wet is probably dfferent.

360s are quite a bit faster than 355s - when my STI was stdish it'd be able to stay with a 355 quite easily to 100mph, after that I'm sure the 355 would be faster. Doubt an STI3/4/5/6 would stay with a 360 to 100 though.

Thing is, unlike most Impreza owners, Ferrari owners really don't have much to prove. Whereas Impreza owners seem constantly to want to try and get one over more exotic cars (it's a peni5 envy thing, much like Novas/Saxos try to do it to Scoobs - you know you're all guilty ) Ferrari owners probably can't be bothered and in all honesty, most probably aren't skilled enough to get the best out of their cars, whereas it's a lot easier to get the most out of a scoob.
If a WR1 got a jump on a 360 at the lights, chances are the 360 would struggle to gain ground until after 100. Unless of course it was hot and the WR1 had heatsoak

There is a bit of the envy thing, but lets face it how many 'NICE' people do you get in such cars, most of them are compleate ***** that think they are better than everyone else (see fast and furious the movie) and assume there ***** extension can get the better of everything !!! I enjoy handing the *** to mr. Small dick mcfacelift !! tis fun !

Lol, my Boss has a 360 Mondena after selling his 360 spider, and he's a really nice guy. He had a 355 F1 before, but sold it as it was a nightmare to get out the drive He think of getting a Tornado on a 04 plate next, lol

He reckons the 360 Mondena is faster than the 355.

Can I say something here..... I've got a well tuned RB5 WR and it is probably as quick as the Ferrari in the dry, and obviously the wet.....Until you reach about 120 / 130 MPH, then it like your going backwards as the Ferrari screams past you....

Lol, I know what car we'd normally go to the chip shop in on Fridays

Anyway, it doesn't matter if the Ferrari had a robin reliant engine in. Have you ever sat in one and noticed all the attantion you get? The chicks love it

Not to mention the fact some Scoobynetters are exotic car owners as well............

Saw an F430 at Fiorano on Thursday, nice update of the 360, will be interesting to see what it sounds/looks like in the real world when they start to arrive here. Not that I would buy a Ferrari seeing as they are the eqivalent to the Dark Side for a Scooby owner

I am guessing that the sudden show of Ferrari appreciation could hint to the possible replacement for your GT3?....

Nice one if so.

Boss had got a F430 on order. He'll have to wait 18 months, and is considering having a colour other than red
