Just saw it a few weeks ago in Cars of the Stars museum in Keswick, Cumbria.
Official stats - 0-60 in 0.2 seconds, and braking distance from 700mph to 0 is about 12 ft. Apparently.
Would hate to think of the state of the driver in either of those two situations...

there is a site on the net of some japanese guy who is trying to make a replica of kitt..and most of its internals. hes incorporated the voice box that acctually talks(pre recorded messages but in the voice of william daniels) it has the oil slick dispenser, the in car tv games console that plays the pac man game as seen on tv,2 working monitors with original graphics package used by the spec effects dept on knightrider..and gizmos and gadgets galore.
theres even one out there with a full working ''super pursuit mode'' .it incorporates hydraulics to raise the bonnet cowl, rear wings, side venting and the front bumper outwards..crazy!!! seeing as the tv show car was never seen changing in motion and only ''on set''. ps im a huge knight rider fan lol can you tell?

WOW ! Loved that car since I was a kid. I too saw it advertised on ebay.
But I have to say, KARR seems to stel the deal from KITT though, but KITTs got a better personality - guess that counts
