What is a ripsnort? Have searched the internet to find a company that makes ripsnorts but am struggling? Are they BMW's equivalent to Prodrive?

I will leave this thread and the ever so witty trolling gentleman to consider his postings while I too search for a shotgun.

My uncle came round in his Jowett Jupiter yesterday, it looks lovely sinces its respray in British Racing Green (was white) and has the racing roundels on the side, looks like its just come from a historic rally, been in the family since the 60's, joined a few years back by a Javelin, which is a Saloon, a real fifties icon, the Jupiter is a proper old school sportscar.
