22`s on an X-5
A friend of mine`s looking for some 22inch alloys for his BMW X-5. Can anyone recomend a place in E-Yorks where he can get some nice ones? What type of price are they with tyres, £2500ish?

yeah good wheels from v12 but auto design technics have always been a bit expensive for my liking, have a look in somewhere liek autotrader they should be deals in there or even look on ebay!!

What does having an Esprit Turbo proove about not being a plonker ?, I thought that would be proof, an enthusiast plonker with good taste but probably one of the daftest cars you could ever buy !

only my opinion.

have you had a drive in one of the better models or are you basing your judgement solely on the chip you have on your shoulder?

Nb...autodesign have two prices..one for 'locals' and one for those who have hunted them out and have travelled from afar........they usually ask where you are calling from when you ring...ALWAYS haggle hard with the likes of Snowy and you WILL get a BIG discount over the asking price....

fb - i have no problem with BMW as a marque. i don't particularly like X5s as i don't agree with the "on roader" concept. i have no doubt that it is a very good car, though. i also have no doubt that it will not be improved by putting 22" wheels on it. I saw one wearing these sort of moster alloys and it look, frankly, ridiculous.
so - no chip on my shoulder.

Got another mate who had a ML for a couple of weeks on loan and he hated it.
The Esprit, I must admit, wouldn`t have been my first choice either. Considering the cars he`s had in the past, ie Ferrari 348i, 944 turbo`s, 911`s,3000 GT`s, RX7tt`s, 300ZXtt`s, Supra tt,......... the list goes on, I think the Esprit`s are just another phase he`s going through. Must admit though, they are seriously fast. Still prefer my WRX for value for money.
