Default BMW 1 SERIES test drive at Rockingham

Had a top day at Rockingham Race circuit courtesy of BMW. Had a test drive in a 120d around the track. Very grippy little car and well worth the 24k for a specced up car!!! LOL

Also went on an off road course in a BMW 4.4i sport X5....amazing machine.

Had a great lunch there all for free.

Anyone else go?

Yes, I went on Saturday morning.
Very impressed with the car, handles great very flat little body roll and so neutral.
But it is dear for a Focus, Astra, A3, Golf size car but then again I suppose you get a BMW. Certainly the trim and quality raise it above any of its competitors.
Yes, nice wouldnt mind one. But I did notice on the 120D's that I drove that fuel consumption was down to the low 20's

Also drove the X5's, very good fun,
Wouldnt call the lunch great though...... where do you normally eat?

I went.

I thought the car was very nice, would definitely have it over the golf/A3 if I was considering a car like that. Very nice inside and handled very well too.

I also thought the lunch was very nice too!

It's a focus type astra type car for people with more money than sense ! (and extremely short legs if you're sitting in the back !)

I'll bet BMW 1 owners will be having the last laugh at the end of three year's ownership though...
