Default Load of old Citroen

I've got a Citroen Xantia as a 2nd car runabout thing.
Just as I'm trying to sell it,the Airbag warning light has started to flash.
This kind of puts people off buying it...

Anyone know if there is anything easy and obvious I can check for, otherwise I'll have to put it into the dealers and get ripped off. (£65 p.h. for a Citroen!)

A friend had an engine warning light flashing on their xsara and Citroen wanted £450 for a new ecu but I advised him to reset the ecu and it fixed it that was 18 months ago too

There are switches/sensors under the seats for the airbags, check these and give them a clean first.

thanks guys

i had a look on the andyspares site and it seems like its a common problem on citroens.

its either the connection on the wire to seatbelt tensioners or a connector ring thing on the steering wheel.

luckily neither sound too expensive

Just disconnect the connectors under the front seats and re-connect them - 9 times out of ten this cures it and costs nowt. Seen this on plenty of Citroens (used to work in a body shop) and a Punto HGT.
