Omega MV6 3.0i 24v V6
I'm thinking seriously about getting one of these...
Has anyone got any thoughts (or know of good places to look in the Midlands - Derby area)
I reckon I can spend about £7K which should get me a good model..but can I find one?
(looking for a manual saloon with as many toys as I can get!)

Kieran,
I just did a national search for MV6 Omegas on AutoTrader....Between £6k and £8k they had 14 cars to choose from...
Me thinks they are a bit rare..
Try searching on Autotrader....you may have a bit of a schlep to view them though.
Good luck.
Jamie
P.s. they aren't that much quicker than the 2.5V6 to 60mph (i had one for 6 months and nearly died of boredom) - Scoobs are much more fun!!

The 2.5s are quite reliable. The 3.0 ones are less so and many avoid them. I've got a manual my95 2.5 and so far no probs apart from central locking control unit draining the battery which has been sorted. vauxhall parts are cheap too.
My Dad has a 2.5v6 and it's on 190,000 miles with no engine problems. Had a replacement autobox 50,000 miles ago. Minor Ecu problem at about 80,000 miles but apart from that it's been fine.
