Anyone got a new Audi S4 or S4 Avant??
Hello all.
On my second Scoob just now; a new STI UK, but am already missing the practicality of my previous chariot (Land Cruiser LC4).
I went back to a Scooby to get performance again, and am not disappointed obviously.
Cover 20-25k miles a year though..... Obviously, you wouldn't buy a Scoob or an S4 for economy, but I was just wondering if any S4 owners have any figures for the "real world" economy?? (thinking the "real world" economoy of the Scoob is 22-23mpg; surely it can't be too much worse than this).
It would be a big step up for me (another 20 grand to spend), but I really think the S4 Avant would be my best all-rounder.
Thanks in advance,
Colin

With a 4.2 V8 the S4 isnt exactly the economy choice like you say...
The combined figure for MPG from Audi is only 21.1 mpg
Extra-urban is 29 or so, so maybe you'd get near that on the motorway at 90. Nice car tho!

Chap I know has a new avant, nothing but problems
It's been back numerous times to be sorted, Audi reckon they have spent 8k trying to fix it. In that time they managed to prang it a bit as well.
He wrote to them saying he either wants it sorted once and for all, a new replacement, or his cash back. Customer Services Director came down personally to deal with it apparently, still need to find out what happened in the end
