Yes got 2, W reg Ibiza sport in yellow which looks like a Cupra, lights, bumpers, alloys, dials etc from a Ibiza Cupra. And a Cordoba SX in black with 17's and Eibach's.
And yes I have got a Scooby as well, which is purple and far to many mods to even consider listing

had a look on them websites ... lot of good advice
The scoobs been sold and I am getting on Wednesday a march 2004 leon cupra 20V t (not a r - a bit more than I wanted to pay ) with 2800 miles on the clock in platinum grey
what are my first mods then and what will I miss about the scoob ... part from the noise, 280bhp, 4 wheel drive and 20mpg
Dave.

You'll miss the rattles, tinfoil bodywork and everyone associating you as a boyracer lout.
You'll defo miss the noise - VAG units all seem to sound like "hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm"

yes, seeing as you are in the midlands, head through to Peterborough for a Jabba remap for approx 220-230bhp & 240lb/ft or so.... with an exhaust system too... That will keep the smile on your face

just getting too expensive plus I think the classic are attracting the wrong people at the cheap end of the market and that has an impact on others.

Also have a Black 2003 Leon Cupra R with the optional Recaros.
I have had the REVO treatment and it is now deploying 278 Bhp & 281 lb/ft torque through the front wheels. I did wonder if this was going to be too much for the FWD to handle but can honestly say that it gets the power down very well with minimal torque steer. Compared to a couple of Saab's i've driven in the past it is certainly no worse. The ESP traction control is your best buddy in the wet as it will spin up in the first 4 gears when coming on boost. The in gear acceleration is mind blowing although due to the turbos size and the REVO map, boost tails off quite quickly. However, the initial thump in the kidneys on spool up and subsequent turn of speed does embarass a lot of sports car drivers, Scoobys inc. When having the REVO treatment you can choose to buy an optional SPS (serial port switch) which allows you to switch between std. map & REVO map (SPS 1) or switch between std. map, NUL map, Optimax/SUL map (SPS 2) or fully adjustable boost & ignition values (SPS 3). I opted for the SPS 1 as I didn't think I would want to be messing with the ignition & boost. However, in hindsight it might have been the better option as people are achieving a reliable 300bhp/300lb/ft with tweaking on the SPS 3. Crazy figures for a 1800cc engine. Lots of people on seatcupra.net have had REVO running for in excess of 10,000 mile with no problems. The only other area worth uprating is the dump valve, a forge 007p is the popular choice that copes with the extra boost.
Overall i've been impressed with the LCR. The build quality is superb (apart from the badge letters that fell off) and the spec. list is very good for the price, Brembos, 18" wheels, Recaros. I have now covered 18,000 miles in mine and will be moving on soon.
I never would have looked at a SEAT 5 years ago but ended up buying mine after testing it's AUDI stable mate and not being able to justifty the extra £'s.

Good reliable cars, worth every penny.
A Work colllegue has had a Seat leon Cupra 4 years this October. Its an X plate. He has covered 140,000 miles in the time he has had it. Its on a lease scheme so the car is serviced regular. But no bull ****, in the time he has had it and the milage its done, he has broke down only twice!!
Considering the abuse its had and milage its driven it still pulls very well, still quick in low gears and still manages to hit 140mph.......just about.

Another Revo'd LCR owner here
Things I miss about my MY97 Scooby are the noise and the cornering ability.
I'm about to fit Eibach Springs and ARBs to the LCR though so hopefully it'll improve the B Road fun

Interesting comments - I'm thinking of getting the TDI Leon Cupra to replace the Scoob for commuting. Saw one this morning and it was pretty quick through the gears. Great over taking ability - certainly a match for my Scoob in most situations. I wasn't going to mod it - but the Revo comments are making me think again.
Any other owners want to comment?

I am sure you can still have a 5 hour demo form Revo
They upload/flash your ECU with the files and then it's 5 hours of FUN
After that the Ecu will go back to normal and you will find yourself on the phone to them booking your car in for the full treatment

It responds so well it's a crime not to (IMHO). 190-ish bhp/ 310+ lbs.ft only £300-£400 quid away.
I've been running a remapped Leon TDI 110 (runs approx 150bhp/230lbs.ft) for the last 3yrs. Good car. I was originally holding off for the 150 (which has been available on the continent for years) but glad I didn't ~ despite "next quarter" comments it took them 2+ years to get their 4rse in gear (although I expect much of that was due to VAG internal politics....... many think SEAT has done too good a job with the Leon )
it's not perfect though.

Well what is? To be honest, I was just looking for a decent reliable car for doing the commute miles. The Seat seems to fit the bill nicely and it looks half decent and is well equipped. The Revo chip thing is very temtpting, but I would probably hold off. The idea is to get something a little more 'fun' for the weekends and trackdays and keep the Seat for everyday use. Unless I get tempted by Revo
I've requested a test drive from my local Seat dealer, so I'll see how the 'standard' Cupra TDI feels.

ChrisL ~ absolutely - everything has compromises
Weekend toy or not - You will want to remap it though.
My remap added nothing to my premium, so was a 1-0ff £300 cost for an extra 35%-ish power & torque. PM me if you want details.
Chris's Scooby ~ rear visibility (for reversing) is truly atrocious in both Leon & Toledo. High rear end does seem to be de-riguer with most current designs however.

I can't complain at rear visability on the Scoob - not with the socking great wing on my car I reckon the Leon would be a positive improvement
