Palmersport Motorsport Sensation
Managed to blag a spare place at Bedford today with the Palmersport Motorsport Sensation and I can honestly say it's one of the best driving experiences I have ever had.
The only other day I did like this was at Oulton Park and there they only let you drive so fast, but here.....OMFG they encourage you to drive everything as fast as you can, as refer to lap times all the time!
Maybe very experienced drivers may not enjoy it, but for somone like me who enjoys the odd trackday it was just fantastic, I am still buzzing now. I only spun the Caterham, but came mighty close in everything, especially the JP1 in the wet!
We drove (in order): And I cannot believe they let you cane a JP1 and a Formula Palmer Audi.
Jp1 - North Circuit - (wet!) Quickest by over a second
Jp1 - South Circuit - (damp) 2nd by 0.04 sec
Vauxhall VX 200 Turbo -South circuit - (damp) Quickest by over 2 secs
Clio Cup race car - West Circuit - 2 place by 0.78
Formula Palmer Audi - West Circuit - I sucked at this big time! Stupid gears
Karts - 3rd even though I weigh over 16 stone
Mitsubishi Evo Rally stage - I won this
Caterham Superlight - East Circuit - Fastest by 1.5 secs
Funnily enough I ended up winning the whole day too - which was a little embarassing as I did not work for the company who paid or the guests!

Think you should lay off the pies for a month before next time then you might win the lot

Dave, you must have been eating too well then, to have such a huge weight gain, since I last saw you and Clare
Defo, no more passenger rides for you in my car then!!

Surprised you didn't get on with the FPA Dave.
Do they still only give you one trophy if you win loads to make the lesser mortals feel better
If so what did you get? We can compare collections
It is in awesome day, the best corporate driving day by an absolute mile.
Is one of the reasons I was so gobsmacked by "that fateful day"

The problem I had with the FPA was: a) the gears, and b) getting a clear lap, and then to top it off my clutch pedal stuck to the floor, so I missed about 3 laps towards the end. Still I was only 18 seconds slower than Justin Wilson I am failry competitive though and I just knew I didn't do myself justice in that event, all the others I gave as good as I could.
lol, yeah I got a big shiney silver thing for winning overall and a "carbon fibre" replica for being quickest first time out in the JP1.
You only got one trophy, then if you won another event they would give it to the 2nd place on so on.
The company who entertained also gave a prize of a nice digital camera - but they had to give it to third place, as me and my mate came 1st and 2nd
I ache today though!

I did one of these days with craig.
I suffer from weight retention syndrome but still kicked *** in the carts - and there were some waife like people there.
Has craig mentioned he won the caterham prize yet
Wish the JP1 was there when we did ours - would love to compare to the westi.

I think the Caterham has changed. I was told it used to be in and out of cones, but now it uses the track the Evos were on, and the Evos now have a gravel and wet tarmac stage.
Craig - did you win the Caterhams?

Did I say I won the Caterhams?
Was 2nd in the FPA, struggled with the gears as well but the cars are awesome
